Our security policy tells your browser to refuse connections to any server except our own site, an anonymous visit counter, and the files the OCR tool needs. There's nowhere for a file to go.

Open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab and run any tool. You'll see code being downloaded, but your file is never sent.
