Fill PDF Form online, free and private

Many official documents — applications, tax forms, contracts, questionnaires — are distributed as fillable PDFs with built-in form fields (known as AcroForms). Filling them shouldn't require desktop software: this tool reads the fields out of your PDF, gives you a simple input for each one, and writes your answers back into the document.

You can also flatten the form when you're done, which converts the fields into ordinary page content so your answers print reliably everywhere and can't be edited afterwards. As with every PDFToolz tool, the form is processed entirely in your browser — your personal details are never uploaded to a server.

How to fill pdf form in your browser

  1. 1

    Add your PDF form

Click ‘Select PDF file’ or drop the form onto the page. The tool scans it and lists every fillable field it finds — text boxes, checkboxes, radio groups and dropdowns.

  2. 2

    Fill in the fields

Type your answers, tick the checkboxes, and pick from the dropdowns right in the panel. Then choose whether to flatten the form (lock the answers into the page) or keep the fields editable.

  3. 3

    Save and download

Press ‘Fill form’. Your values are written into the PDF's form fields, flattened if you chose to, and the completed document downloads immediately.

Why use PDFToolz for this

Ideal for sensitive forms

Forms are where you type your name, address, ID numbers and financial details. Because the filling happens in client-side JavaScript, none of that ever leaves your device — there is no upload, no server copy, no retention policy to trust.

All standard field types

Text fields (including multiline), checkboxes, radio button groups and dropdown lists are all supported, using the options defined inside the form itself.

Optional flattening

Flattening converts fields into permanent page content: the answers display and print identically in every viewer and can no longer be changed. Or keep the fields live if the recipient needs to edit them.

Free with no limits

Fill as many forms as you need — no account, no watermark, no per-document fees.
