Privacy Policy

Every tool on PDFToolz — merging, splitting, converting, signing, compressing, OCR, encryption and the rest — runs entirely in your web browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your PDFs and images are read into your device’s memory, processed locally, and offered back to you as a download. We never receive, store, transmit or have access to the contents of your files.

Contact messages. If you use our contact form, we store the name, email address and message you submit so we can reply.

Basic technical logs. Our hosting provider records standard request metadata (such as IP address, browser type and time of request) to keep the service secure and reliable. These logs are not linked to the contents of any file.

First-party analytics. We load a small analytics script from an.pdftoolz.com after the page is ready to understand page usage and site performance. It does not receive your documents or document contents, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Preferences. Your light/dark theme choice is stored in your browser’s local storage. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.

PDFToolz does not use advertising cookies, sell your data or track you across other websites. We use local storage to remember your theme preference and first-party, non-advertising analytics to understand how this site is used.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare’s global network and analytics are served from our an.pdftoolz.com subdomain. When you use the OCR tool, the text-recognition engine may download its language models and WebAssembly runtime from a public content-delivery network the first time you run it; your document itself is never included in those requests.

Because your files are never uploaded, there is nothing for us to retain. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry.

PDFToolz is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
