About PDFToolz
PDFToolz is a free collection of 38 PDF tools that run entirely in your web browser. No uploads, no accounts, no watermarks.
Why we built it
Most online PDF tools work by uploading your document to a server, processing it there, and sending it back. That is convenient, but it means your contracts, medical records, tax forms and ID scans travel across the internet and sit — however briefly — on someone else’s computer. We thought the common case deserved better.
Modern browsers are powerful enough to do the work themselves. So we rebuilt the toolkit around that idea: the file stays on your device, the processing happens locally, and the result is handed straight back to you.
How it works
Each tool is written in JavaScript and WebAssembly and executes on your own machine. When you merge, compress, convert or encrypt a PDF, your browser reads the file into memory, performs the operation, and generates a download — all without a round trip to a server. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tools keep working.
Free, and free of gimmicks
Because there are no servers crunching your files, running PDFToolz avoids per-file server processing costs — so we can offer every tool for free without daily upload quotas, forced sign-ups or watermarks. Practical file-size limits still depend on your browser and available device memory.
